The classroom teacher is the primary player in your child's school environment, but there are others (such as librarians and music, art, science, computer and physical education teachers) who make a valuable contribution. Many teachers are supported in the classroom by educational assistants and others. Your child's school family also includes people who help make learning possible -- bus drivers, food service employees, custodial and building maintenance, secretaries and clerical staff, counselors, school nurses and administrators (principals).
