| | February 11, 2010 - Board of Education Budget Update | | Chief Business Officer, Michael Baumann, provided an update on the Fiscal Year 2010 Budget Situation and the Fiscal Year 2011 Budget Process. Highlights of the presentation include:
The financial situation for the District projects a growing shortfall on a scale not seen in its long history.
The District is seeking multiple sources of input and doing all it can to include stakeholders in the difficult task of determining reductions to achieve a balanced budget.
The budget cannot sustain the existing education delivery model as shown in the large shortfall; changes must be implemented.
