State of Students of Color Report - Annual report prepared by the Minnesota Minority Education Partnership (MMEP)

  • 2009 - Instead of approaching learning solely as an effort to “beat the odds” that social and economic status imposes on Students of Color and American Indian Students, Minnesota should work to “change the odds” by both promoting a culture of high expectations in school and holistically integrating K-12 schools with social, medical and community-building services.

Quality Counts - Every year, Education Week produces Quality Counts an annual report that examines the progress that states have made on a core set of policy indicators related to standards-based education over the past decade. It also explores the relationship between changes on those indicators and gains in student learning, as measured by NAEP reading and mathematics tests in grades 4 and 8 from 1996 to 2005.

The Condition of Education - The annual report (required by law) on the condition and progress of education in the U.S. produced by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

The Bracey Reports On The Condition of Public Education are published each October in Phi Delta Kappan magazine. They are important because they point out how research and statistics can be misused.
