Churches and other community groups perform a key role in orchestrating the community-based family supports needed to help raise the achievement of our most at-risk students, as well as in advocating for responsible education reform and appropriate, stable funding for public education and social services.

At the local level, these groups can play a critical role in engaging the citzenry from supporting quality early childhood services, to recruiting volunteers to support local early childhood - grade 3 literacy efforts, to collaborating to "use the data to identify needs to address community-based barriers to student achievement." - more -
